Tanya and Eddie

I told Eddie I would blog about Dr. Cornel West before he had a chance to finish the book….sorry babe.  Last year Eddie and I had the opportunity to hear Dr. West speak at Bethany Baptist Church in Newark, NJ. He was sharing snippets of his life that are now recorded in his Memoir. He is an awesome speaker, captivating, full of knowledge and never uses notes.

I started reading Living and Loving Out loud while waiting for Eddie at the train station. He got in the car and instantly I start talking about how much I LOVE this book, the poetic language and the riveting story and how I was only on page 3! He started hysterically laughing at me.  Fast forward a few months later, he started reading the book on the train, gets in the car with the same passion and excitement. There is no denying Dr. Cornel Wests’ life is quiet an exciting story. My mother in-law just finished and my father in-law just started reading. Definitely something to add to your book list!
